Join me for a retreat in nature the weekend of November 3 to 5, 2023 at Dogwood Acres Camp and Retreat Center in Chipley, Florida. I will be joined by yoga instructor Amanda Cannon and pastor Sheldon Steen for this relaxing weekend. On Friday night we will discuss the book Late Migrations by New York Times columnist Margaret Renkl. We will look at this memoir in essays from the perspective of a writer and explore how the book inspires us. Saturday, after morning yoga, I will lead us in creative journaling exercises. The afternoon will be filled with your choice of relaxing activities from hammocking to walking to puzzling to knitting. I will lead a creative collage time later in the afternoon, followed by active yoga. There will also be time for play and plenty of good meals. Saturday evening will be our own Moth Radio Hour. We will start Sunday with yoga following by a meditation hike and worship lead by Sheldon Steen. We will end with a last writing exercise and lunch before going back to our own lives.
